Alarm on North Main Street this morning

Did anybody else hear that stupidily loud alarm on North Main Street this morning?

It started at about 6:30am and went on for a good hour and seemed to be coming from the religious bookshop down by the Gate Cinema. Fierce annoying when you're trying to get a last hour or two of sleep before getting up for work and you wouldn't even mind that but there are actually quite a few families who live in the apartments nearby too.

While I sympathise with your position, given the severe storms of last night, this isn't surprising. Luckily the city centre seemed to escape the worst of the flooding.
