Shipping a guitar to the US..

    Hey guys,

    My brother moved to the US a couple months ago and has now asked me to ship his (expensive) guitar to him. He's paying, thankfully.

    Just wondering what postage company would do this?

    And what sort of price I'm looking at, it seems heavy enough, maybe 10-12 Kilos.

    How should I go about packing it? Just bubble wrap the case or?

    Any info would be helpful!

    I've sent a few.

    DHL are better than regular postal service, with more insurance etc.

    there are companies here which block book on DHL and then charge less to the customer....

    last acoustic I sent stateside was about £80 (100 euro) through the third party people, but was going to be over £220 direct with DHL

    crazy thing was, it was a DLH shipping note, DHL collected it in a big DHL lorry.....

    weird!
