white magggots in dogs water after night

    after a heavy nights rain there is these little white maggots in the water of my dogs water and food bowl, it only happens after night

    ant ideas

    Could you get a pick? It's more likely to be something that's fallen into the water then actual maggots.

    small slugs?

    Either way, don't leave bowls out overnight as it does attract slugs, and slugs carry lung-worm.

    not small slugs dont however know what baby slugs look like wont be leaving bowls out over night again after 2moro , will post picture

    Mosquitoes? They do breed in water and the weather's warm and damp enough.

    I'd be tempted to say mosquito larvae, or something similar.
