Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gary Neville is a hero, was the best right back in the Premier League on a consistent basis for many seasons.

This thread can be used to speak well of the man himself, or even to rip the piss as I am sure it will be used more so for :)

    Legend to me anyway

Showing himself to be a top analyst now too

Edit: Also, did you not see the goal in the video? Thread worthy alone ;)

If he had turned pro at cricket like he could have, then maybe, but it would be in another forum

    Good solid pro

TBF hes never really had competition for title of EPL best ever right back, not trying to take anything away from him but wheneevr people make a list of EPL great teams RB is the weakest position, not really his fault there hasnt been stand out RB's I suppose.

Far from his biggest fan as a professional but his work with Sky has been exceptional at times and hes been a breath of fresh air woth his views and anaylsis.

Meh, he got lucky that Rob Jones had to retire through injury.

He had it all lads, a couple of inches taller and he would have been Englands best centre back even!

Could use both feet, well able to tackle, great on the overlap to free up space for the wide men, great cross on him too.

    A leader of men.

At this stage I'm expecting my own appreciation thread soon!

To be fair, how could you say he had no competition for this? There have been hundreds of players play RB during this era.

To say he had no competition is a testament to him tbh.

    Spot on.

I'm a fan of Neville and i like his input on Sky, knows his stuff.

I do figure an appreciation thread is probably worthwhile given that he seems to be infiltrating all aspects of English football ;)

Is it a coincidence that Glen Johnson just had his best tournament at right-back after Neville joined the coaching staff, or is he an amazing coach?

The family is a seriously talented one though sporting wise if you look in to them. Born competitors :)
