Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    best player in the world

Always thought Iniesta was robbed of the Ballon D'or in 2010. Was easy to just award it to Messi but Iniesta deserved it imo.

They pay out on all the winners, but cut the odds by the number in the tie.

Don't cut your odds cut your stake if you had 20 on and 2 tie you only have 10 on if 3 tie you have 6:66 and so on

william hill, such deadly odds about 61/1 a few minutes ago for italy win lol

this is a footballing version of rape.

balotelli might as well walk off now and put on his gold watch for some post match interviews.

I think you could use a less crude comparison to be honest.

Who'd bet against four in a row?

John Terry in the stadium searching for a Spanish jersey and some shinguards as we speak.

Very unselfish by Torres when you think that another goal would have won him the golden boot outright! But that assist gives him a share with Gomez doesn't it?

BBC have said it goes to player with least minutes played - so Torres.

Balotelli looking annoyed there. I don't think there'll be headphones big enough to conceal the annoyed head on him.

George crediting Chelsea with Spain's victory is ridiculous.

Italy gave up when Motta went off, but more than likely would have won anyway. Well done spain.

    What did Balotelli do?
Stormed off down the tunnel, nothing major, just acting like the child that he is.

Does winning the tournament entitle players to steal children from the ground?

Ah people need to get over it.

Where does it say in the rules he has to stand there and cry on the pitch?

He is a 21 year old who just lost the biggest match in his career, maybe he just didn't want the world looking at him in tears, upset and probably a little angry?

Funny cos he seems to want the world to see everything else he does.

Incredible team. Even the players that didn't get a look in like Cazorla and Llorente are also fantastic. You have to give massive respect to the coaches for producing this conveyor belt of quality.

whats with winners turning venues into nursery's now.

we seen it at the snooker finals and now this.

Well, as much as I dislike them, they've done something that's not been done before, so that certainly lends credence to them being the best.

Yeah, who was it? I thought it was Arbeloa.

What happens if you have money on the top scorer and it's a tie??
    Money back??
    What happens is this.
For each player that ties for the win that you didn't have you lose. There are four top scorers so you lose three times and win on the guy you backed.

So if you had €10 on one of them then you had €2.50 on the winner at the price you got.

Your stake is divided by the amount of winners and you get paid on your winning portion at the odds you took when you placed the bet.

Torres wins the golden boot due to least minutes played, according to The Guardian.

Just aswell for Bolatelli that it doesnt say in the rules that you have to have class to play the game . .

its no mean feat, 3 trophies on the run like that. Still with La Liga and 40 million people its achievable.

No otherwise Beusquets, Ramos or Pique would never have won the Euros or World cup.

In fairness to Ballotelli, it looks like the defeat really hurts, surely that's a good thing?

They're up there, but can you honestly say they're better than Hungary of the 50's, brazil 1970, brazil 82, holland 70's? I don't think anyone can.
