Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You have to register for 12 months, but you can cancel it before the full term is up and the insurance company will give you a partial refund depending on how long you were covered for.

You would effectively pay for 9 months insurance and lose out on a years ncb. Not worth it.

This would depend on the insurance company.

Really? I Could've sworn I was told my NCB would hold for 2 years between policies, even the policy was cancelled. And this is my first policy, for the record.

Quinn (Liberty now). They were pretty sound about the whole thing.

I was insured with quinn for the past r
4.5 years. Sold my bike in may and rang to cancel the remaining 3 months of my policy. Was told i'd lose my 5th years no claims bonus and would only get 30 euro refund after administration fee of 50. Policy was 275 for the year

Your NCB is issued after a full years insurance and is valid two years from that date. Most policy's also have a admin fee and retain three months for cancellation.

So if you cancel your insurance after six months, you end up paying for nine months, you lose out on that years NCB and after two years you end up having no NCB at all.

Its a seriously bad idea, a hassle to do, saves practically no money and it can end up costing you money.

Oh right. Well I was talking to Quinn about this in (I think) October, and I wasn't told any of that. I was told that I couldn't get 6 months insurance, but I could get 12 months and cancel after 6. And when I asked about any no claims I was told it'd hold for 2 years between policies.

That's just what I was told.

Apologies if I gave any misleading information.
