Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

"Weltbild," Germany’s largest media company, sells books, DVDs, music and more -- and also happens to belong 100% to the Catholic Church. Few people knew about this connection until this month when Buchreport, a German industry newsletter, reported that the Catholic company also sells porn.
A Church spokesman responded: “Weltbild tries to prevent the distribution of possibly pornographic content.”

Well, it's prevention efforts have apparently not been so successful. For more than 10 years, a group of committed Catholics has been trying to point out what is going on to Church authorities, and they are outraged at the hypocrisy of the spokesman's statement. In 2008, the group sent a 70-page document to all the bishops whose dioceses have shared ownership of Weltbild for 30 years, detailing evidence of the sale of questionable material.

IF true, she is not the first maybe!

    Tom's previous wife? Nicole Kidman.

I always found it interesting that both his 2 previous wives were able to have children with their new partners despite their alleged '' fertility issues '' that undermined their marriages to Tom ?

I went into the 'church' in New York, fairly drunk but before taking the personality test, I was led into a screening room where there was about 20 comfy armchairs, I was alone in the room, then a 15 minute video come on and the narrator explained how all bad things in life are caused by <scientological gibberish> and could be reversed by <complex scientological gibberish>. The weird thing was the mirrored wall on the right, why a mirrored wall? First one to guess that, wins a copy of Dianetics and a free personality profile. I stupidly gave them my email address and now, I receive about 4-5 emails from them each week.

She's seeking sole custody of the kid. That goes well beyond your standard hollywood divorce. This is going to get really nasty.

Since when did ''young moviegoers'' decide if a film is actually good or not? Im still gonna see it, Tom Cruise belting out 80's classics sound like a good nite out to me.

I saw it and I liked it. It's just a fun movie with great music :D

I saw the show in the West End in London so I'd been looking forward to seeing the movie.

Great actor. Magnolia, Minority Report, Jerry Maguire, Tropic Thunder. Has nothing to apologise for.

Some people in this thread only have one boring bigoted record and are determined to play it in every discussion.

    Sure you don't:

    I really don't.
I just dis-like those that try and hide their sexuality in sham actions.
It does honest gays and lesbians no joy in advocating their right to equal status.
By their hiding of their gayness behind possible sham marriages, they are also partly espousing that there is something wrong in being gay, etc.

If I take the pee out of Mr Cruise - its because he's a waste of space - and not just alien space.

By the way, my best friend and best man at my wedding to my wife, was/is gay - just for the record.

    We ok?

    It just cant be true.

Something has happened to him. He's in love. He's in love. He's jumping the couch. He's gone. The boy is gone. He's gone and he doesn't care. He wants to celebrate her. He's a hugger. He loves Katie Holmes. She has a life force. She has a real joy about life. He's a romantic. He's never felt this way before. He's not gona pretend. He loves this woman. He loves Katie Holmes.

    So they cant be divorcing.

There are sinister undercurrents to Tom Cruise's divorces, i.e. we never find out why. Not a jot.

We're grand but I don't see how you can claim to be so pro-gay and then attack someone because you thinks he's gay and in the closet. I don't think you're homophobic, exactly, but you do have a dislike of Tom Cruise and are willing to exploit any of his perceived weaknesses to fault him. If Tom Cruise is gay, isn't comfortable with it and doesn't want to reveal himself as such, that's his business. Not yours.

Accusing him of holding back gay advocacy is nonsense as well. He's not actively campaigning against homosexuality and probably never has.

Actually one of the one TOP things Scientology states, is that they can cure gayness.
...And as Tom in his cult continues to be the top PR face of the organisation, is the righthand man of its current leader - and we can presume that he knows about their willingness to use their daft 'cure' methods, we can see that they might be stateing that gayness is wrong!

All long as Tom Cruse supports this position and/or a twisted org that espouses this - I will continue to take the piss out of the nutjob.

On his own merits he's good but the roles he inhabits in the films he chooses are often times brilliant.
The new MI was good fun. Minority Report, Collateral, Magnolia, Vanilla Sky, Cocktail, Risky Business, Rain Man, Tropic Thunder (:pac:)

Their marriage lasted longer than a lot of celeb marriages and yet he gets way more flack from people who don't know the details. I disagree with the whole Scientology thing and I think they're a dangerous element but I don't judge that harshly. It's his personal life.

It's a persons own business if they want to come out to the world or not. If he is gay and he doesn't want to share the fact who are you to judge? It's his own business and no one elses.

You're not pointing out any double standards by saying that Tom Cruise is "in the closet." You're just taking a cheap shot at someone you don't like by alluding to their secret sexuality. Which is fine, but don't pretend it's anything else or a noble gesture. That's plain dishonest.

So why is it that you felt the need to continuously point out that you think Tom Cruise is gay? You also clearly consider it as some form of mark against his character.

Also you're defence of "I've got gay friends" doesn't really wash pal.
