Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Used ones are no good to you I'm afraid.

The reason your old ones broke in the first place was because the tips wore back from the blades from rubbing off the concrete. Once they wear back 1.5"-2" or so from the blades, it puts terrible pressure on the tines and they'I start snapping like twigs.

The only ones that won't break are the two outside ones as they are not cranked, don't rub the ground and therefore tips shouldn't wear. They are your guide. Run a straight edge off these and you'I soon see the wear on your cranked tines...

Go buy yourself 6 new tines and sharpen the blades and you'I have a shear grab that'I cut cleanly and be like new again ;)

    Hi OP
as already said, you need to sharpen the blade. Another way to solve he problem is to weld a bolt(with the hex head cut off) the same size as the threaded part of the tine on the broken tine. Not for the faint hearted. If you are buying tines only buy kverneland tines, they have an arrow stamped on the side of them about 4-6 inches from the crank.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

to muckit and blue 5000 the reason i need new ones are they didnt break this was the loader we used for 20 years to take out the silage then in 1990 we baught a shear grab and the grab was only used for bushes then the bottom piece where the tines slott in to was rotten so i got a new bottom from mchales welded it on to it and painted it up, that grabs not going to be used to pull out silage it will only be gathering a few bushes and light stuff, it more sentimental value than much use
