    Hi,
I'm looking for advice on changing Service Providers for Broadband and Phone. Currently with UPC (happy enough) but am thinking of switching to Smart Telecom for their Phone offer re UK calls (better fit for me). I'm not very tech savvy and a little concerned as I don't know anyone using Smart Telecom. UPC offer 25MB - Upload 3.3MB versus Smart Telecom 24MB - upload 1MB. Has anyone any comments / advice re Smart Telecom.

    Many thanks,

If you read the print correctly it say "FREE anytime calls to any landline in Ireland or the UK^" not both!!

TBH, If I could get UPC, I'd change my whole package to them, although Vodafone (my current providor) offer free Xbox Live membership with the ideal and ultimate packages, they also have free call to landlines in both Ireland and UK and the healthy 300gb to 350gb usage allowance.

    Moved to Broadband.
UPC is probably the best connection available to you, DSL is pathetic in comparison (with Smarts DSL package your probably looking at around 4-5mb for the same price as UPCs 25 (now 30)mb), If you can get Magnets fibre service as an alternative that may be good, but not sure what Magnets phone packages are like

    Hi Folks,
I tried posting a thank you to all of you earlier... but being a newbie and not so tech savvy I've no idea where it went! But thank you very much for your replies. SUP08 you're post re the phone prompted me to revisit their page. They'd already told me the 1500 mins was inclusive of UK & IRL calls p/m. On my revisit I discovered "...fair usage policy..." in their notes so queried it and was informed I'd have to hang up and redial within the hour for every call to IRL or UK. My thanks again to each of you for your prompt responses.
    Cheers
PS. I hope this gets thru' this time.
