Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nope im afraid im not. And if i was, who would i be trying to wind up? The team i support arent involved.

You're getting subtle in your oul age, but I'm around long enough to recognise the bait you're trying to dangle. And it's got nothing to do with the team you support atal atal. ;)

Anyway; tough one for Chelsea.... and Celtic

McGeady is going back to Scotland. Tough group for the Scots, can't see them getting any points off those teams.

This pr1ck Cannavaro is going to draw Dortmund in Juve's group.

IN MY OPINION, City should be in Pot 1 in place of Arsenal. Is that simplified enough for you?

WOW, 4 league winners in the one group. Tasty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,190 ✭✭✭✭IvySlayer

Jaysus, City, Real, Ajax and Dortumund

United with Braga, Galatasary, Cluj, tough trips to Turkey and Romania.

Handy groups for Utd and Arsenal, Chelsea and City are a bit tougher.

wow 4 champions drawn together in the champions league, i wonder when the last time that has happened?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

F**king hell. I know United always get the rub of the green in these draws, but Braga, Galatasaray and Cluj is taking the absolute Míchéal.

sssshhhhh...they wouldnt want to make it difficult for them, better to give them cluj who they have history of beating

Right so if you've basing it on European performance then arsenal should be above city, which they were.

Not as bad as you think, Ajax are in severe financial difficulty and are having to sell players just to survive. I suspect they will get tonked in all their matches.

Why? Neither team has won the competition and thats how id base it.

If you're basing it off league performance then Chelsea would be the worst seeded of the english teams.

What I want to avoid :

    Pot 1
    Chelsea (Eng)

    Pot 2
    Shakhtat Donetsk (UKR)

    Pot 3
    Juventus (ITA)

    Pot 4
    Borussia Dortrmund (GER)

That pot 3 is looking fairly handy, some good teams I'd like to avoid.

    FFS 2 of the teams I predicted.....sound. :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,480 ✭✭✭✭cson

Cluj beat Roma and held Chelsea to a draw - won't be a walk in the park. Galatasary away is just about as hostile an away game as you'll get anywhere in the world. Braga should be handy enough alright but then again they we're Europa League finalists and semi finalists for the last 2 years, no push over either. United should top that group for sure but I'd be willing to bet it'll take til the last game to confirm it.

Absolutely but as the holders they have to be in Pot 1

but they've done more in europe than city, they're ranked the 6th best team in europe atm, city are 20th

for the draw they were ranked 6th, city were ranked 14th

You can't just arbitrarily pick and choose criteria that suits you. Arsenal have consistently made the knockout stages year in year out whereas city got knocked out of the group stages last year.

Ah Melon you can't have it both ways, its either League or prior European performance? Which one do you want?
