PVC Door - New Lock

okay, typically i have lost my back door keys and cannot find them anywhere. I come to the conclusion that i need a new lock. i can open them thankfully but oviously i cant lock them when i go out.

So, is this a job a can do myself? is it a simple case of buying new handles and screwing out the old one, or because its a PVC with lock all the way up do i need to buy a whole rack of locks,

Any help much appreciated!!

You can get a new barrel from any of the window suppliers. Its just a matter of slipping the bew barrel in and tightening the retaining screw. Should not cost any more than €15.

Also worth considering upgrading to an anti-bump anti-snap lock if it's one of the euro cylinder locks as it is very easy to snap these locks with a vice grip.
Just measure out from the retaining hole in both directions and it will give you the size of lock you need.

15 euro for an anti bump/snap lock.

30 seconds to take out the old lock and install the new lock.

A small philips screwdriver is all thats needed to do the job.
