Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    this may be a silly question, but what length should a maxi dress ideally be for someone 5ft 11inches?

    I don't know exactly what length it should be but for me a maxi dress should be pretty much to the floor not matter what height you are?!

    I dont buy a maxi unless its just above the bottom of whatever shoe im wearing. If it flats, it practically needs to be skimming the ground, the same with wedges.Theres no other shoe id wear a maxi with than those tbh. I think you're looking for actual length measurements though, which i dont know sorry. Rule of thumb is online models are generally 5'8"/5'10" (im 5'8") so if its short (mid ankle) i wouldnt buy.

    Yes, it's for ordering online for someone.

    The pic doesn't actually show the models feet, so I can't tell where it sits (really helpful!)
    The description says it's 58inches, but I just want to be sure that it's not too short. Normally I'd just ask her, but it's for a surprise!

    I think if its not in the petite section and shes between 5'6" and 5'10" you'd be ok (ish). Can you give us the link and the height of your friend?Its generally measured, i think from just below the collar bone to the ground.
