puppy suddenly very agitated

My 8month old j/r cross pup, has suddenly ( as in the last 15 mins) gotten very clingy and is barking like a nut and whining and running from the back door which is open to the front window also open, then hiding behind my legs! There is nobody outside, no cats etc. Hes not in pain... He is not usually this crazy or needy…

Glad to hear he's back to normal.. Don't you just love crazy jack Russell's? Was there a house or car alarm going off or anything like that?

He may have heard thunder in the distance and got spooked.

Whatever it was it was for doggy ears only, I couldnt hear a thing. No alarms or unusual sounds at all... He was just going out of his way to warn me of whatever danger was about it seems!
