Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm gonna be living in the US by end of September, is there any point in buying GamePass, do people think?

I imagine Football is showed religiously over there, and is easily found.

The local team is easily found. Other teams? Not so much. I was there in New York for Week 17 and the TV Stations were showing the meaningless Jets and Giants games instead of the games which actually had playoff implications.

Also can have black outs. Was in Miami and didn't have any 1PM games as Dolphins were playing and hadn't sold out. Post game will stay local at times as well instead of changing over to a 4PM game.

Quite happy with my Gamepass for 80 quid now. Cheers, gents!

Knex depending on where you live also you wont get to see many NFL games unless you have directv and the NFL ticket. My bro in law moved to Florida and got comcast and realised he cant see the pats so then cancelled comcast and got directv

Yup, even more pleased with my purchase now.

Glad I asked, would have felt like some tit if I had missed out on a few games thinking it would be easily sourced over there!

I have a few times asked @gamepass and samsung is there any intention to have a tv based app and the answer is always no.

I'm assuming because a verizon sub or any other sub in the us is way more expensive than gamepass. I can only guess that they dont want to name it any easier for us folks.

I've applied to get a refund to re sign up with the code and Portugal trick.

Also for anyone who is deciding between season and season +. Every December they always, well last 2 seasons anyway, they do post season for about 15-20 a saving of about 15 on price now

You are probably right actually and it won't be 60 euro anyway for the season +.

just watched the condensed version of the Titans/Hawks game that i was at last year.

The bad FG by the hawks and recovery and 95 yard TD by McCourty was something special, pretty sure you can hear me cheering over the boos :D

Did anyone else have an issue last night with Game Pass? (was using it on Nexus 10 Tablet)

I was changing from NFL Network / Jets Game (waiting for Pats game to start) and then it tells me i need an internet connection.

    Restart App , same...restart tablet , same....

I had full connectivity and ran speed test 57Meg and sites were loading etc.

happened to me when changing from colts and jets to patriots and redskins. Said error 503 or something. Just logged out of my nfl account and back in and was fine after that.

Yeah all you can do with the app is restart it, couldnt log out etc.

Might reinstall the app. Worked grand this morning though

Think it was an issue across the NFL network - seemed to be a lot of people complaining about it on Twitter. I would say it was probably just network gremlins - hopefully they get them ironed out by the time the regular season starts

Also, i thought i read about you being able to Download games? is that an option anywhere?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,842 ✭✭✭s8n

are the games in HD ?

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 21,667 Mod ✭✭✭✭helimachoptor

Presuming you have a decent bb connection you can vary the quality but In short yes it's hd

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,562 ✭✭✭Dymo

I watched the 49er game and the quality was rubbish

It was the same last year, it took a couple of games for them to improve

already have a good dodgy paid streaming option but signed up for season pass purely for the 10 second rewind! it's so handy. also 4.5Megabit is as high as you can get but it definitely it seems a bit more 'blocky' or something than last year. i don't know why they changed the design, it was grand.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,742 ✭✭✭MyPeopleDrankTheSoup

just playing around with now, who said you can't login from two places with same account? it works for me from 2 different IPs.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 21,667 Mod ✭✭✭✭helimachoptor

Is it the same ip range?

I can watch it on the laptop and iPad if they are both on BB, but if I go into 3G I can't watch it

Just finished watching the Rams/Titans Super Bowl from 2000 as the new arrival decided she wasn't going to sleep, game pass is fantastic

No, was going to buy gamepass for the first time but not with blackouts, will use streams
If anyone has a device that can run PLEX, it's worth trying out the NFL Network/Gamepass app. I tested it on a smart tv earlier and it works really well with my Gamepass account. Live NFL Network stream, all the game/tv show archives and the rest.

Does anyone know if the American TV networks such as FOX and CBS stream their regular season game online? NBC stream a lot on their Live Extra but I'm not sure if they stream any of the NFL.

There is also an app for XBMC. It is still in the development stage but it is pretty good. Handy to run off the raspberry pi.

It really is! I end up watching most Colts games for a second time and then get to catch up on some great games from the last year or two as well!

    Well worth the price IMO!

The iPad must be much better than the Android app and windows desktop, none of those games are available to me. When I go to the Superbowl archives all I have is the last 3 years

Try going to the season you want and then just click superbowl. I have back to 2009.

Anybody think there is a chance that there will be a free gamepass country this year? I'm kinda holding out til the last minute before buying my subscription in case there is a miracle before the start of the season.

Great. Just got this working a on my LG smart TV. Quick question for anyone that might know. I have plex server on my laptop on my network through wireless. TV is wired to router. When I watch something on GP on TV will it used pure wired connection of TV or will it have to go back through plex server on wireless laptop and thus be some bit limited by wireless? Thanks
