Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Boring Reality: neither men nor women receive preferential treatment to any great degree in this country.

Let's not turn this into a pointless "Who's more discriminated against?" argument. Obviously there are ways in which both genders are discriminated against (which is why I said "to any great degree" in my post).

But there's no serious widespread discrimination against one gender in particular, which is why I find threads like this ridiculous.

    All unfair discrimination is wrong.

I've seen female managers giving unbelievable leeway to girls in the office being "upset" just cos they've had a barney with the boyfriend the night before or some drama with "the girls" and this is an excuse for them to sit in the canteen for half the day talking about it while the lads/other girls who dont take part in this bs do all the work.. like, im sorry for your troubles but you're getting paid for all the work im doing while your sitting on your hole crying. Being upset isnt a legitimate reason to skive off work unless its a major health problem or a death or something. If i came in and said im gutted cos united lost yesterday so im too upset to work id be laughed at and told to get back to work..
