Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has to be white bread, and has to be kerrygold (the real stuff)

When I'm not trying to give myself a heart attack I'm fond of soda bread with some light cream cheese.

    Butter with...

Marmalade or marmalade with a slice of processed cheese on top.

Dairylee with a splash of Worcestershire sauce.

    Paté

I have been experimenting. All of the above are yum.

I do like beans on toast too though.

Well done toast, let cool, good spread of butter topped with a thick layer of Aldi creamy coleslaw.

    Proper butter!

Marmalade or jam the odd time. Had a nice Rhubarb and Vanilla jam out of Aldi yesterday.

Got the best toast ever in some strange place near Cooper Faced Jacks at some strange hour in the morning whilst talking to some strange girl.

Usually when I have toast I just have butter on it. If there's Nutella there I might have that, 'cause Nutella on toast is delicious. Or, if I'm feeling very fancy, rashers and grated cheese.

Also the toast must be not-very-well-done. My mother has been cooking for us all for years and years, and yet the woman cannot make toast without burning it.

    Butter - low fat buttah!

I got sick of flora and can't stand benecol. Might put jam on the odd time but prefer butter. Might add cheese if it a toasted sandwich.

I'm partial to a bit of Bovril spread on my toast and sometimes even with a bit of cheese on top. Strange but yummy!

Someone else said Bovril too - never tried that but love toast with a load of butter on it....so much butter that it's liquid on top of the toast. Then add nice dollop of marmite on it. Keep mixing the marmite and liquid butter until it's all gloopy. Oh god, am nearly stiff thinking about it :D

Failing that, butter and my neighbours homemade marmalade which is really tart and so lovely!

....gonna have to try bovril cos out of marmite :(

Burnt toast is the business, as long as you get it before it's turned to black soot. Heavily browned toast with lashings of real butter and a nice milky cup of tea. God I miss home

    Don't eat toast.

Toast is unnecessary filler that reduces my bacon intake.

    BACON!!!

Butter + Marmite. The most combination of all spreads.

Dry butter on one slice. Melted butter on the other.

Or. Dry butter on one, butter+marmalade on the other.
Although I rarely eat toast anyway.

This morning it was butter and homemade strawberry jam. Delish.
