Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Extremely painful waxing experience?

I’ve had two Hollywood’s in the past, and yes they stung while the therapist was waxing but afterwards I was fine. I had my first Hollywood a week ago after a 2 year absence from waxing and it’s was agony. For the first couple of days the area felt very tender and even now almost a week later I’m not 100 %. I went to a very well known, recommended salons in Dublin. My therapist did seem to be run off her feet, she practically ran into the room, very quickly waxed everything off and ran out again. I’ve a pretty high pain threshold but during the waxing I was on the brink of tears and almost asked her to stop.

Is this normal? Id planned to keep up waxing from now on but I don’t think I could go through that every 6 weeks.

P.S. Id stopped shaving/Immacing about a month prior to this waxing.

Maybe because you haven't had it done in a long time your just a bit sensitive to it, I find the more you get it done the easier it is to tolerate.

If not the above then it's the wax or the Therapists technique....If so next time you should look for a salon that specialises in waxing.

In the mean time just look after the area with tree tree cream Aloe Vera ect anything cooling and healing.

    Hope you feel better soon

Yeah maybe my skin was sensitive. The place I went to is one of the most well known/expensive places in Dublin to go for waxing, hollywoods/brazillians are apparently there speciality. Maybe it was just a combo of sensitive skin and the therapist rushing to finish.
    Thanks for the reply.
