Hi everyone! Heading to Sherkin Island for the August Bank holiday wknd, and was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for what to do there? Is there any fishing that can be done from the pier for example? Thanks in advance and looking forward to it!

The best place i found for fishing on sherkin was horseshoe harbour. When you get off the ferry walk up the hill until you get to the crossroads. Take a left at these crossroads and continue straight along the path and you will see horseshoe harbour. This is a great spot for camping as well. If the mackarel are in you will get them in the harbour. If not it is easy enough to get to either headland at the entrance to the harbour. Should catch pollack here around high tide!
