Petrol prices around the county

    We in Tuam seem to be paying the most for petrol 159.9

    It's 157.9 in Galway.

    The cheapest I've seen is 156.9 in Ballyforan

    What's the story?

    153.9 at the newly opened Safe Fuels petrol station in Loughrea - haven't been myself yet. 2 Topaz and the other independent in the town are at 155.9.

    Story is Loughrea seems to be cheaper at the moment. Can't offer an explanation as to why one petrol station would charge more/less than another - if you think the price in your local station is too high I would ask them direct.

    I notice petrol gone up to 162.9 in Topaz in Tuam.

    So much for further reduction in price!!

    diesel is €146.9 as of 16/7/12 at Lafferty's on the Monivea road, nr. Athenry
    I noticed Petrol is also cheaper than elsewhere but i didn't get the actual price

    Cheaper in Mayo too.
    157.9 in Ballindine & Claremorris. 158.9 in Castlebar
