Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

****ing hell, driver San Francisco is a pain in the balls to get running. ****ty ubisoft drm causes it to lag when it eventually does run too, apparently. Trying to run it on a superadmin user level on win7 64bit now, and steam has decided to update it some more.

Excellent games havent played Walking Dead but seriously doubt they are similiar.

This is the new telltale games one not the original from the 90's right?

Dunno if thats the remakes or new ones, remakes are brilliant.

Haven't bought anything in this sale, pretty disappointed with it tbh. Might buy the gta pack if it comes up again just see if my computer can handle the ice enhancer mod.

Was hoping for 75% off on a few games, anno 2070, TDU 2, Gemini Rue, Ticket to Ride, M&M clash of heroes, just hasn't happened.

Splinter Cell for 3.74 is a bargain though, already finished it on 360.

Aye it's the new Telltale ones. Like Dreamer said though the remakes are fantastic.

Only bought one game myself, but for me it's because I already own most of the items being priced attractively from previous Steam sales! Apart from ArmA II, I didn't have many "targets" that I realistically expected to be reduced significantly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,012 ✭✭✭✭titan18

Have only bought Arkham City, Saints Row 3, Sins of a Solar Empire:Trinity and Space Marine. Not been a great sale tbh, some games coming up 2 to 3 times in it was kinda fail tbh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,578 ✭✭✭✭Turtwig

And there, at last, is Burnout. Was wondering when that was going to show up. But look at the others with it!! NFS:HP, NFS : UC and NFS : Shift all 75% off. That's fricking class.:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,645 ✭✭✭✭nesf

Risen picked up. Can't resist RPGs at that price really. :)

By my reckoning all the flash sales and community choice deals are, is just daily deal items that will appear for a much shorter duration. In others words, anything that is a community or flash sale is basically going to be a daily deal at some point, or already has been one.

I'm actually playing this at the moment, had it sitting in my pile of boxed games for years and have finally gotten around to playing it
decent game and enjoying it, It has that quandary like when you are playing Hitman whether to go out guns blazing or stealth the mission

had to use a crack for it as Ubisoft dont support it for win 7

Doesn't work too well with Vista either. (Maybe the steam version does?) Starforce protection would drive you up the wall. Fantastic game. So many ways to do the levels, depending on your mood you could be a pacifist, mass assassin, or a walking tranquillizer. :)

And today is the day I hit my first Steam Sale newb fail - bought Bulletstorm early on in the sale at 9.99... That'll teach me to obey the golden rule of never buying anything unless it's in a daily/community sale or it's the last day...

Last week my Steam account had about 15 games in it... It's now up to 145 :D (I do have a LOT of catching up to do being PC-less for several years).

I've lost count of how many games i've bought this sale. Doesnt help that i've a credit card this time round either. Don't know how much more of a raping my wallet can take. At least im getting paid next week.

It's not that I don't want it and don't think it's worth a fiver, it's that I wouldn't get around to playing it for at least 6 months. :p

Alan wake has its moments, but later on with so little difference in enemies it becomes very predictable and not scary at all.

So I bought Borderlands GOTY but it only shows as Borderlands in my library. The download is 12GB so I'm fairly sure that the DLC is there but was just wondering if anyone else is the same.

Right click the game in the library and select "View Downloadable Content" - though when I do this on a Mac, not all games show the purchased DLC (but they do on Windows).

Au contraire. Play it on hard (it's too easy on normal).

Then tell me it's not scary when you have half a clip, you're surrounded on 4 sides, and there is no safe haven in sight.

Give me tension and suspense over artificial jump scares any day. :o

Cheers. I've played "Crysis" (well tried too - there's a glitch that stops me in the final battle) and I've still "Warhead" outstanding so I'll leave it and get Driver:SF instead.

If the glitch is a big lag on graphics, set Crysis to launch in a lower direct x version. That happened to me at the time and I was able to complete it.
