Sony Vegas Movie Studio on a laptop

    I'm want to install Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 video editing programme on a laptop. It is listed as being for a PC but I don't know if it will run on a laptop.
    My machine is a Dell Studio 1745 running on Win7, with a 500Gb hard drive, an Intel Centrino2 dual processer and 8Gb of memory.
    Anyone out there tried it or know if it is possible ? I'm very familiar with editing as I've been editing on a PC for many years, but never on a laptop.
