Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Son is 17 and has just completed LC; can he claim JCB. he has not worked before, and will hopefully be going to university in September.

Jobseekers Benefit is paid once you have accrued PRSI stamps in the previous financial year(s) as your son has never worked he would not qualify.
To qualify for Jobseekers Allowance which is means tested the household income would be looked at.
The rules say that he has to have left school after leaving cert for 3 months before his claim is taken under consideration and as he is going to college he would be registered as a full time student in Sept the only way he can make a claim is if he does not get into college.
