    My take on that list is as follows;

    Equal
    Beatles
    Metal
    Hard Rock
    Stradust
    White Thin Duke
    Oasis
    Beach Boys
    Stone Roses
    Classical
    Beethoven
    Blonde one
    Never been to either

    Out of interest, my I ask how the Oasis v Spice Girls comparison is fair?

    Tongue in cheek Rcaz. Bit of fun turned out to be. (Sinfonia's reply made me fall off me chair with appreciative laughter):D

    I do think, in music and other arts, comparison as to who excels who, is missing the point. Anyways cheers all.:)

    My intention of this thread is to cast a light on the futility of comparisons...enjoy the music whatever shape or fashion its presented to you...do not judge yourself by the work of others, if they are true to the love of music, that would be the last thing they would want...do it, whatever it is you do, and dont be hoodwinked or misled by feeling the need, or having the lack of vision to have to live in someone elses shadow. There is nothing to offer on that road.

    The link is to a song called "A Song For Rory Gallagher" by John Spillane. John is not a guitar head, but he relates the inspiration that was Rory.
