Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Advice for mother of the groom

Just looking to get some views on what to wear ! I'm a young ish mother of the groom. The wedding is in feb 13 in Scotland so potentially v cold or snowy. I've just started to think about what I might wear and I've seen a georgous dress ( navy and cream) and a fab satin coat for over it, in oyster/ champagne colour. Have checked with the bride , she has no prob with the colour. Now for my dilemma. Would it be risky for MOG to wear something from COAST as I know a lot of 25-30s shop in coast for weddings. What are the chances of a glamourous guest turning up in the same. I love the outfit and it's in my price range where some boutique stuff is madly expensive. What does anyone think.?

The good thing is that in all likelihood the dress you're thinking of buying will be out of the shops by the time the wedding rolls around, as I'd assume it's in their spring/ summer collection. LOTS of women do wear dresses from coast for weddings, but the age of people who do shouldn't be a factor. If you like it, and it looks good on you and you feel good in it, and it's appropriate, then go for it. And to be slightly evil about it, if someone else wears the same thing, they'll be the ones that get called out for wearing the same thing as someone in the bridal party, which technically you are. ;)
