Wanting to pay maintainance for my son in the UK

I want to do the maintainance through official channels, so is there any state body here that I can arrange to pay payments like the CSA in the UK or am I screwed as he's out of the jurisdiction. Can you not do a bank transfer or standing order? Either would be recorded in your bank records. Failing that send cheques made out to him - they'll show up on your bank account also.
