Fair enough that they pushed the two lads to the ground for hassling them, but there's really no need to be kicking the lad in the head when he's down on the ground, makes them no better then scumbags either,in my opinion.

Lika all animals these people are dangerous when wounded..let one get up off the ground and you could easily find yourself with a knife in your back.

Junkies might look harmless enough but they have no limits and pain doesnt affect them like ordinary people.

What the gards need to do is move them on,this approach of moving them on (yes i know they end up on another area)..BUT ,it shows the junkies THERE BEING WATCHED,they mightnt be so brave comitting acts of violence with the gards (knowingly and known to them) actively watching them. They will have it in the backs of their minds when getting up to stuff..
Or they could go the zero tolerance approach and arrest them on the spot throw them into temporary custody for a few hours to cool off, theyd be needing their heroin so theyd be quick to move on themselves once they see the cops coming..

This bull**** happens in every city; you can kid yourselves it's a Dublin thing all you want, but scumbags are like rats and Man U fans, you're never more than 3 metres from one..

What? They were clearly on their way to do some charity work following a hard days labour and were set upon by thugs and used their brolly and bag of chips to defend themselves.
The reason they were wearing tracksuits was they intended to put in a swift few laps of the local running track before settling down for the night helping others in a local soup kitchen

    Shame on you.

You should join the Law profession. :D

Where are we going to get these Gardai from?

    Crude sums but here goes...

    Population 4m
    Gardai 12,000
    Divide by 3 shifts
4,000 on duty at a a given time

    So that's 1 garda per 1,000 people

Seriously? I've lived in Dublin all my life and I rarely see scenes like this... Because I don't go to dodgy parts of the city!

If you're going to be showing people around, then don't bring them to shítholes. It's simple.

Rarely? So, you have seen it happen more than once over your life time?

I lived in Dublin for a year and never saw any violent crime being committed.

Referring back to the commentary heard in the video, can someone please tell me what they were supposed to be leaving out?

Well captured video was delighted to see to absolute a** holes get what they need a good kicking. I understand the 2 big guys gave them a good going over but this could have saved them as I have had a lad flash a blade at me before on parnell square west cause he walked into me and I did'nt say sorry I still stood up to him and his pal dragged him on.. Not just making this up but it is getting worse out there sure there is no cop presence and they don't see have the stuff happening

That's a relief, because I thought the repeated suggestions to "Leave it out" referred to a milk round delivery or something.

Na she just works for the bin collectors and was just reminding them to be sorted for the pickup...but it looks like those two guys already took out the trash

I thought it was an ongoing argument about whether to provide Santa with a glass of milk on Christmas Eve or not.

I've socialised as an adult in Dublin since 2000 and lived in the city centre for years.

Saw two fights. Two auld ones pulling the hair of another auld one outside a pub in rathmines and a bunch of trendy college gimps, trying to fight, outside one of those trendy camden street bars. The one close to bleedin horse.

never seen young lads in tracksuits fighting. Not once.

incorrect. You are suggesting the majority of people living in dublin have at some point witnessed a street brawl involving young men. Based on absolutely no evidence or proof to back it up.

Why don't you tell us more about your cousin's friends and how they tracked down the groper? That was a great story.

why don't you add something interesting to the conversation, or any conversation instead of going around sneering and thanking posts that suit your little agenda?

I think there's only one poster here making up stuff to push their agenda, and the clue is the poster's name.

If you live in A) and work in B) and travel the same narrow path each day it's possible that in your life you have never seen a streetfight in Dublin.

If you go beyond that narrow band of experience you will see trouble fairly easily.

I have seen trouble in the streets of Dublin many, many, many times & I am not even in town that much thesedays. I really find it hard to believe that you could live in, or work in, or socialise regularly in Dublin City centre and not have seen a streetfight.

one of the core requirements an individual is expected to make before being accepted as an adult, with the capacity to think beyond the basic childlike elements of associations, is to consider real evidence available to a subject before jumping to completely mindless observations.

    ie: tracksuit = bad person.
camera begins with young man advancing = he must have started it
left in a username = bleedin heart liberal.

Do you see what i'm getting at? you need to work harder and not be so careless. It's embarrasing.

I wrote I saw two streetfights, between middle aged women and between college age, middle class boys. Both were hilarious.

Almost got in two fights myself through drunken middle aged idiots trying to be hard but never once saw young dublin males involved.

Have you ever encountered people like the scumbags in the video?

I see them all the time and its thier behaviour rather than their dress that enables people to generalise about them...they're nothing but an anti-social menace.

Classic video, deserved every punch, takedown, hammerfist and kick they got. I have to laugh at the people here defending the scumbags...

It's so hilarious, in fact, that I'm gonna spunk my 5,000 post on boards.ie on it!

What's embarrassing is you making up a story about a video to suit your own agenda, then complaining when someone points this out.
