Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Video Game Collection Sells For $1m On eBay

A collection of thousands of video games has been sold on eBay for more than £700,000 ($1.2m).
The games were owned by a Frenchman called Andre, 32, who lives in the south of France, according to the Los Angeles Times, and is constantly buying and selling video games.
But this is the biggest collection he has ever sold and includes every video game for Nintendo, Sega and NEC systems.
The amount sold included 22 sets consisting of about 7,000 video games.
"I perfected some full sets by getting every title of them factory sealed, just for the challenge of it," he told the paper in an email.
"Some titles are extremely hard to come by brand new when they're 25-years-old. Now that the mission is complete, maybe it's time to move on.
"What was important was the completion of each full set, every game of all those systems, all complete in box with instructions, or even brand new factory sealed," he said regarding how the rarity of the collection outweighs its size.
"Any good video game store could sell instantly a 20,000 games stock, and it wouldn't approach such price."
The games were all stored in a pet-free and smoke-free house and away from direct sunlight.
Andre has not been left with nothing. He says he still has thousands of others that he will be keeping for himself.

It's not a complete collection. There is one game (at least) missing from his PC Engine collection.

This post was brought to you in association with my never ending jetlag.

I also hear Steve SI sold half his collection.

It is unclear whether this is a coincidence or not.
