low cost build

    i was asked to put together a build by a friend, no budget was given but keeoping the cost as low as possibel while allowing her kids play a truck driving simulator something like this -

    Thinking the 6870 should have not problems with this and if and when they decide to change game etc the 6870 wont have a prob with modern games like this on say medium settings into the next yr or so

    what do u think of the following?

    they will be using a tv as a monitor and already have periphals etc

    You'd only need a 7750 for that stuff, maybe less if it's 1280x720. Maybe drop down an AsRock U3S3 H61 motherboard to save a good bit?

    Ok, so i made the suggested changes and added a monitor, in case its needed,

    Its not full HD, 1366 x 768

    Think this should work?

    Change the Windows to 64-bit, and get a Bitfenix Merc instead of the Coolermaster case.

    merc not instock and only using the windows 32 for the key, i have the 64 bit iso so should be grand for that :)

    spend an extra tenner on the monitor for the 1080P BenQ. much more screen real estate.

    they'll appreciate it in the future.
