Flying to Thailand tomorrow and I was going to bring some ham sandwiches with me for the first leg of the journey Dublin -> Istanbul. You can bring homemade sandwiches through airport security can't you? I was sure you could but a friend just told me hers was taken off her before.

Yeah, but a sandwich? Which you eat on the plane or put in your bag to eat in the terminal? If you're transferring, I wouldn't worry about it.
