Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Would you rather be stranded in extreme heat or extreme cold?

TBH you are fairly likely to have a space suit handy if you are somewhere where you could be stranded in a near vacuum at absolute zero

    Cold
In extreme cold you can put on clothes , use insulation , run about to keep warm

in extreme heat you dehydrate , so game over

for very short times you can stand extreme heat - human salamanders - better than extreme cold - falling into the ocean

I take it if it's extremely cold your going to die, likewise if it's extremely hot, but if you're stranded, and do not have a chance to prepare the extreme cold will kill you quicker and if your stranded the effects of hypothermia certainly will.

Whereas if it's an extremely hot environment, and your stranded and not given time to prepare, you can bury yourself, in the cool earth, to keep cool during the day, where in a environment where it's extremely hot, there is a very good possibility that it will be extremely cool at night, when you could travel, you have fluids, for a very short time, in urine, and you could come across vegetation which would offer fluids, or insects for nutrition.
