Meherrinia, a "marine river dolphin"

    It belonged to family Iniidae, like the modern day boto or Amazonian pink dolphin, but it was seemingly marine or at least, able to live in both salt and freshwater.
    It is also apparently the second river dolphin to be found in North America.

    Apparently, some river dolphins in prehistoric times could grow up to the size of a great white shark, however, I don´t know how big Meherrinia was.
    Most river dolphins today are small, although they still look pretty prehistoric/ichthyosaur-like, especially the Ganges dolphin:
