    Hi folks,

Making this as part of tonight's dinner.

    Using this recipe below:

    http://www.bordbia.ie/aboutfood/recipes/potatoes/pages/colcannan.aspx

However i couldn't find curly kale so got savoy cabbage and scallions instead.

I was thinking of using half scallion half savoy cabbage.

How, and how long is best to cook them before adding to the mash?

    Thanks,

    John

Place cabbage and water in a saucepan and quickly bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer about 8 minutes until tender. Do not overcook it. :)

Tesco have kale most of the time - you can cook the lot and freeze portions ;)
