How many Science Subjects do you need?

    For getting into college or university for medecine or pharmacy? I am thinking about Applying for trinity,UCD & RCSI

    Pharmacy in Trinity requires a HC3 in Chemistry AND a HC3 in Geography OR Biology OR Physics OR Ag Science.

    Yep! Just after looking up my prospectus and I see that instead of a second science subject (Geo/Bio/Phys/Ag) you can use a HC3 in Maths or Applied Maths. But you need chemistry unfortunately!

    It really gets my goat when posts such as OPs above appear, maybe this is what boards is for but can a person not google this incredibly easy to access information for themselves. Surely if you are striving for such a highly sought after course like medicine you have to be highly motivated. [What seems to be] Not bothering to even spend 10 minutes looking up entry requirements seems like a bad start IMO. But then that is what it seems to look like from my perspective. Sorry for going off topic and no offence to this post in particular its just they appear so often this time of year. Again apologies.

    Every medicine course requires you to have 2 lab sciences, with honours in each.
    Trinity counts Geography as a science, but everywhere else it's Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Ag Science. You can use Maths or Applied maths in some cases, but seriously... 2 sciences. do it.
    I do Chem and Phys, hoping to go to the RCSI.
