    Hi techsavysista,

Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, you can request to have an overdraft facility set up on your new account at account opening. However, this is dealt with on a case-by-case basis so you'll need to discuss it with an advisor in your local branch.

To set up a new account, you will need to make an appointment and bring photo ID and proof of address with you. You can find contact details for our branches here.

If you haven't applied for an overdraft when you open the account, you can do so at a later stage by completing the online application or calling 1890 365 100.

If there's anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.
    Thanks,
    Graham
