Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some of the posters on the Soccer forum hack me off. I realise going into the superthread of a particular team, you are likely to find alot of that teams fans. But it isn't their own personal fiefdom and non-fans of said team are allowed to have an opinion without being branded "trolls". I swear, some of the people in their are in their 40's but act like kids when discussing football.

This includes some of the Mods in there too. Yes, it's understandable that you support a team. But that doesn't mean you get to sh*t all over anybody who criticises one of your players. I had a run in with a Utd mod after I had the temerity to suggest that one of their players wasn't gods gift to football. By all means, hand out warnings to people you disagree with.

And as you can see I'm not bitter about it. :p
The worst part of the soccer forum is that people think that they are being picked on by mods because of their allegiance. Oh....

Shows how clueless you are. I don't have an allegiance in the EPL. I watch it because I like football. So your point is moot.
Yeah, I'm clueless because I don't know who you, Mr Anonymous Internet man, supports. Good man.

Also my point is valid. You believe that a mod's allegiances colour everything they do.

Maybe the mod just thought that your point was awful or lacked substance. Judging by your name calling in the above post, you don't seem like the most balanced poster.

I do not enjoy when people say 'meh' after reading or quoting something.

I especially will not enjoy if someone quotes this and follows it up with aforementioned 'meh'.

This may have been mentioned but its starting to really get on my nerves lately...

Somebody starts a thread, and asks for opinions. Thats fine. But then some twat comes in with:

    "What do you think?"

    Hate these muppets...

It's an acceptable response to an empty useless OP that asks for opinions without any colouring or inclination from the OP. AH would turn into some kind of awful survey trolling breeding ground.
I imagine the people that type that are as tired of having to do it as you are of having to read it but it's the only reasonable response to try and get a decent thread going.
No one should have to drag the subject out of the OP really. A good first post goes a mile and if a person doesn't want to talk about the subject of their own thread they can fcuk right off.

A lot of stuff, actually. I like it to keep in touch with what goes on back home and to enjoy the unique Irish sense of humour but I get annoyed about the bloody pettiness of some posters. Almost every thread I read ends up in some pathetic, point-scoring, embarrassing argument. More often than not, the point of the issue at hand is completely ignored so some shitheads can argue the toss over something that doesn't matter. That drives me up the wall.

The rural / city thing which comes up is tiresome too.

I miss home quite a lot and I use boards to touch base but too often I see stuff that, frankly, doesn't make me miss home all that much. And that's really, really shit.

This thread title, but not the post I quoted... the post I quoted is awesome! :pac:

What annoys me is the Bangernomics thread.
There are quite a few honest posters there, however it is dominated by mods and ops whom I refer to as Gombeens. There are guys there who just won't listen to someone's point of view , instead the try to react in a bullying way, which does not help the thread.

I suspect there a number of shady car dealers trying to hype up sales indirectly, when they are challenged the Mod steps in to counteract the challenger. This behaviour is unacceptable needs investigation

I clicked back in a thread i posted in yesterday to find it locked.

Mod said something along the lines of 'we have a similar thread already going elsewhere. If you can find it'. Vague hint. No link to the 'similar thread'.

Brilliant, cheers for making boards so inviting

People who used the term "do-gooder".

"What...you mean you don't want to see another human being skinned alive, raped with a pole, and then have salt pured on his skin?? Fuppin do-gooder."

They always ignore the fact that it was the "do-gooders", standing up against the ststus quo who got us the rights that we enjoy in the first place.

    Also, this guy:

Yeah, you kind of know they don't get the point and probably can't wait to see what the posters says when they see blocked quotes from them.

People who come on after someone or some team from Ireland does well purely to **** all over the goodwill. Such as today for instance. We win an Olympic Gold and people bring up our overall record as something to be ashamed of. Riles me no end

I hate when people post up a question like what's the score in a game or when is such n such movie released when google would be able to give a better response.

Also when I am reading a page 5+ pages long from the start and respond to a post in page 2 only for the conversation to be completely transformed.
