I am glad I did not hear that call, and that it was decided not to broadcast it. I knew a woman (a relative) who got very ill a few years ago, a terminal illness with very very little chance of recovery. She was a very pragmatic and tough lady, though in her last months she was drawn to any alternative remedy that might give her a bit of hope, including advice from psychics. She is the very type of person that would have called in to this show if she happened to see it on in the evening, and if I myself were in that situation who's to say I'd be any different. Even if the psychics were genuine in their convictions, it reduces death and the dying to the level of contestants on a grim game show. So shameful that this stuff is on air.

Just on that and I mean no disrespect but can I recommend the film "Man on the Moon" about the life and death of comic Andy Kaufman, who died of cancer at a young age.
