    yeah that's what I was wondering 6 X 3.50 €21!??
But if they were oversized and free postage to UK, would probably still work out cheaper.

Hey - I've been waiting on a package now for a few days with no sign of it, Amazon split an order of mine into 6 deliveries. I have 5 of the 6 now, one of which was an oversized package I went to Finglas to collect.

The missing package is an oversized one too I reckon, the tracking info on Amazon says it was delivered to your NI depot on Wed 26th so I thought I would have got a text about it now... should I contact customer service too see if they can help or could you look into this for me?

You ordered 6 things of amazon of which one was oversized and you still didn't spend £25? Or did you not know Amazon does free delivery to Ireland if you spend over £25? (If your items come from 3rd party sellers this doesn't apply)
Parcel Motel is great btw, but if I can get it free direct to my house...

The idea was to get them within 48 hours, it was next day expidited delivery with an amazon prime trial so I though it might have come in 3 to 4 packages, six I thought was a bit overboard, didn't want to wait on the free super saver delivery which is usually fine but sometimes can be a bit slow and I needed this stuff in a hurry (without breaking the bank), also was from a mix of third party sellers.

It has all worked out, got a couple of packages on Tuesday and the rest on wednesday except for this one package which has gone missing somewhere... I live in finglas too so it's no problem going up to get oversized packages from the depot... just hope this last one turns up soon

Anyone know about using this to order from the US?
Will customs have to be paid, so it won't be accepted. If so, can this be paid in advance?
    Thanks in advance, L.

as stated in the parcel motel faq,the customs would be liable to be paid, plus pm doesnt accept parcels if there is customs to be paid, you could try it and see what happens, but from reading the replys here,no one has tried posting studd from the us,you not try myshopper,or other us shopping sites, that taxes and postage is including, might be expensive though.

Are Amazon.co.uk starting to block use of the Co. Antrim address? I've used Parcel Motel for Amazon items several times with success, but when I tried to order some vitamins last week they wouldnt ship to ParcelMotel. I've also just tried some aftershave which is "Delivered FREE in the UK with Super Saver Delivery ... Dispatched from and sold by Amazon.co.uk" and again get the message "This item cannot be shipped to the address you selected."

If Amazon.co.uk are beginning to treat ParcelMotel as an overseas address (VAT reasons?), then sadly I won't be using Parcel Motel very much in future.

Anything in the area of Health & Beauty is a minefield on Amazon for overseas despatch - and as for Perfume / Aftershave:
I’m sorry but we can’t send "Cerruti Pour Homme Eau de Toilette Spray 50 ml" to Ireland.

Perfume are considered as hazmat items and we do not deliver them outside UK.

This is because this item contains flammable, pressurised, corrosive, environmentally hazardous or otherwise harmful substances classified as dangerous goods under the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR).

Although the amount of these substances in products is usually small, they need to be transported in a certain way to make sure that they’re handled with care and are therefore assigned to a specialist carrier.

    Not ParcelMotel's fault here..

I was thinking the other day about something like this happening in the near future. Wouldn't be surprised if sellers and businesses eventually start to publicly state that they will refuse to ship to PM adressess due to circumvention of their shipping policies (and lack of small profit from their overinflated shipping quotes).

Hopefully this won't happen but sadly, I think it will.

  • Yeah that occurred to me too mate. PM is too good to be true. Can't last unfortunately.

Thought about that too. But kind of like shooting themselves in the foot if they block sales.

Jesus, Imagine the uproar if Amazon started treating N.I as part of the R.O.I. If Amazon start doing this they would want to get there act together cause someone will just start up another company.

Shame you bought those on Amazon, They are way cheaper on ebay. I got a pack of 5 mixed variety (i could choose the variety) for €4.50 and delivery was free. Despatched and sold by an irish seller.

    Orla,

Just in case you missed it, could you have a look at my issue i sent you via PM?

    Cheers,

98c, not too much of a loss. Just wanted to try out the PM. I'll check that on e-bay, only really like New Car scent and Black Ice.

BTW them air fresheners should be a bargain alert there 2 Euro a pop in Tesco.

I do understand dispatch would be quicker from Ireland!

Used this and received my first package on Monday - Fab service , congrats to Nightline I am really impressed. as someone who orders quite a bit online .I no longer have to worry about 'UK DELIVERY ONLY' statements or rip-off postage rates to Rep of Ireland.

Great service and I have no hesitation in recommending to everyone I know.

Hi All. As some of you may know, our building in Antrim is on a corner and so 2 postcodes relate to our address. BT36 4PX and BT36 4PE. We've just heard from Royal Mail that they havededicated BT36 4PE to Nightline Parcel Motel due to increasing volumes. We willbe migrating all of our publicity material to this new postcode over time asold stock runs out. 4PX will still work but customers experiencing anyaddressing difficulties should try the 4PE postcode. Also we've been told that we do not need to include Mallusk in our address so that leaves more room for your PMID! So the address is:

    Your name
    Your PMID
    Parcel Motel
    1A McKinney Road
    Newtownabbey
    Co Antrim
    BT36 4PE

If you're still stuck for room, put your name and your PMID on the same line. It's vital that both pieces of information are on your parcel to avoid unnecessary delays. ;)

Hi. I've had maybe 6 deliveries problem free including one yesterday. I had been waiting a while for a delivery that I thought might have got lost but got a text this morning with a "reminder" message, it turned out to be what I had been waiting for but I'm wondering how would I get a "reminder" when I hadn't had an actual notification?? Or will all notifications now start with "reminder"??
