How much sand..?

    Looking to lay slabs over a (dull) concrete drive....16' x 11'.....any idea how much sand i'd need at 25/30mm thick..??

    depends how heavy sand is but you need half a cubic metre

    alexlyons is right, weight varies if its wet or dry. So on average, 1 ton = 0.6 m3, for dry sand.
    As you need 0.5 m3 , I'd get a ton of sand.
