Can you buy a phone from Vodafone and switch to Meteor?

I was considering buying the Huawei Ascend G300 (how do you pronounce "Huawei"?!), which only Vodafone does, so if I bought it there, could I switch back to Meteor, the network I'm already, with my Meteor SIM card? Do you need to buy a Vodafone unlocking code or something? And what do you do then? Also, I'm already on…

I was considering buying the Huawei Ascend G300 (how do you pronounce "Huawei"?!), which only Vodafone does, so if I bought it there, could I switch back to Meteor, the network I'm already, with my Meteor SIM card? Do you need to buy a Vodafone unlocking code or something? And what do you do then?

Also, I'm already on Meteor, so if I bought a phone on Vodafone, could I keep my number? Thanks!

You could buy a Vodafone phone and get it unlocked (if it can be unlocked). If you port from Meteor to Vodafone you can keep your number. Changing phone does not affect your number.
