Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd say go to bed as I suffer from insomnia. I often only get 2 hours sleep, go to work and be tired all day. I finally try to go to bed around ten that night and can't sleep again:rolleyes:
I've had to cut out caffeine which is a killer for me because I LOVE coffee.
I don't drink any fizzy drinks, chocolate or anything with sugar.
I now also often turn most electrical items off in my room, and avoid my room for the day until I'm going to bed.
I've got sleeping pills prescribed too but I try to limit these.
I really wish I could sleep easily.
I think most people will suffer from insomnia at some point in there life.
But I've been getting it bad for around 3 years now.

Think about random crap. Last nights thoughts:

    Do giraffes sleep standing up?
    Do zebra's think they're horses?
    Do pandas actually like bamboo?

"Bed" here too. For me to fall asleep anywhere else, I need to be so knackered as to be close to death. Trans-Atlantic "red eye" flights are great fun, as you can imagine.

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.
    Wherever you happen to be
    They bring it to you—free.

I go to bed, try to sleep, think about what i did during the day (if anything exciting happened) and about what im gonna do the next day. Then my brain thinks about everything and i'm wide awake then.

Well, if I'm going to bed, I say I'm going to bed and if I'm in bed and I'm texting someone or whatever and I want to go to sleep but don't wanna be rude and not reply, I'd say I was going to sleep.

What if you fell asleep before you got the chance to tell the person you were texting you were going to sleep?

Nights like tonight I've been out playing football so I have to wait for the adrenaline to leave my body before I head off to get some kip. Usually pretty wired for an hour or two after it. People see it as a physical activity but it's every bit a mental one too.

I've been in that boat for 10 years. Once I get to sleep, I'd nearly sleep forever.
Couldn't be bothered getting sleeping tablets though.

Tell you though, I get Valerian root a few years ago. Amazing stuff. Had to stop taking it though, was late for work regularly as it completely knocked me out and I'd sleep through the alarm

I float off to a dreamland where Ronnie has killed Sammi in Jersey Shore and the prick is trying to pin the blame on me, then we go off in search of giant mushrooms like the ones that used to be n Super Mario and things seem to work out.

Except the monkey, the purple monkey is always watching, watching and waiting.

Jesus ye're all a bit strange.

I go to bed and imagine I've won 10.63 million in the lotto. Then I give my closest family x amount, spend x amount on building the house, spend x amount on cars, spend x amount on employing my best mate so he has a big income and imagine that after all that myself and the missus had €1500 a week each pocket money from the interest earned on what's left.

    Sleep takes 2 mins.
