165 power steering

Hi guys I was trying to get the power steering to work on the owl lads 165 . I thought it just needed oil so I filled it but I'm now realising that the can I filled it from was engine oil and not hydraulic oil . The steering has improved bit it's still not great .have I done damage or what do I need to do now ? Any advice…
