List of skills, schedule 1 & 2

Hi guys, was looking at the list for skilled migration and the list is split into 1 & 2 can anyone tell me what the difference is? My trade is listed on the schedule 2 list. I am in Australia now defacto on a 457, but does this mean I could apply for my own visa if I went through TRA?

could be way off the mark here but i think schedule 2 is for state sponsorship
