Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Scratched Car

Parked my car in a supermarket carpark. When I got home I noticed a small scratch just above the bumper. About 10-12cm. How much would this be to get repaired. No hope of getting who left it now. Would a repair pen do or would I have to get the panel re-sprayed?

It's very hard to repair a scratch, you'll never get the new scratch to look like the old one.

    sounds like a right-off OP.

Just scrap it for parts and buy a new one.

    Lesson learned I hope.

    How deep is the scratch?

Is it down to the metal? or is the paint just scuffed?

If its down to the metal it will probably need a respray or if its small enough hopefully a pen will do.

If the paint is just sciffed you can probably buff it out.

You will get a better response on the motors forum I reckon.

An AH response will prob be about 3 fiddy :p

Just scratch all the rest of the paint off and then get some dulux to repaint it, be grand.
