Am beyond lazy when it comes to grooming-I shower obviously everyday and the usual brush teeth. Thats what used to constitute grooming for me :o.

But its come to my attention as Ive gotton older, I am spending more and more time-there is always something that needs to be done!

So, am just wondering if this is excessive for "essential" grooming? Here is what I do now:

-Shower everday (incl shave arm pits)
-Once in a while i.e. every week or two shave my legs
    - Lip wax about 3/4 weeks
    - Eye brows every week
    - Hair on head-wash it every second day. Trim it myself.
    - Cleanse and moisturise twice a day (I dont really wear make-up)
    - Nails - I get gels on every 3/4 weeks-low maintenance then for a few weeks.
    - Pedicures/facial once every 3 months

What do ye other ladies do for "essential" grooming?

Shave crack and dent too to complete the routine

    • wash self daily - bath / shower
    • wash & condition hair regularly
    • dye hair possibly monthly - whenever I look in the mirror & notice my roots lol
    • hair cuts - 3 or 4 times a year
    • regular leg & bikini waxes
    • shave under arms / get them waxed - very sensitive skin & it hurts if I shave them too often, trying to move to waxing but the razor appears while I'm waiting for the regrowth for waxing
    • regular biosculpture manicures
    • cleanse tone moisturise twice daily
    • make up each morning
    • eyebrows - every few days attack with tweezers
    • pedicures every month or so (self done) soft sole once a year / bliss socks a lot more regularly
    • exfoliate weekly all over
    • can't think of much else I'm probably forgetting somethings lol

I shower every day, and generally shampoo and condition my hair too. I might skip washing my hair the odd day but that'd be rare.

Shave armpits every day in shower.

Make up every morning, unless I'm not leaving the house.

Cleanse and moisturise face every night.

Roots every eight weeks, but I only have my hair cut every four months 'cause I want it longer so I hate having it cut!

Leg and Brazilian wax as often as required.

I do my own nails, so this would be whenever my nail varnish starts to chip - maybe every three or four days.

Can't think of anything else right now!

Oh my Jesus reading this and I feel awfully lazy now.... :L

    What I aspire to do....:

    Leg/armpit/lip/Hollywood wax as required
    Eyebrow thread
    Cleanse ,tone, moisturise
    apply sunscreen
    exfoliate body weekly
    Apply body lotion twice daily
    Mani/Pedi every 2 weeks
    Shower daily
    Monthly facials
trim every 3 months (or as required) along with conditioning treatment
Apply make up daily (if leaving house)
Wear clean clothes that don't include sweats etc.
    Exercise daily
    Brush teeth twice daily
    Floss twice a day

    What I actually do....

Shower maybe once /twice a week (disgusting I know!! ) or when I leave the house to meet friends etc. not including heading to the shop, college or work.

Brush my teeth once maybe twice when leaving house but if not going out maybe not at all !!

Shave whenever my legs/armpits will be on show

Often don't take off my make up until the next evening

May brush my hair occasionally even if I haven't showered usually not though....

Usually wear pyjamas if at home or sweats if Im heading shop etc

    wear sunscreen occasionally

wear make-up when I go out

cleanse and moisturise when taking make up off

    WOW I'M LAZY!!!!

Sure I'm the same with regards to showering. I don't shower everyday-why should I? I don't exercise so to me it's a waste of time, water and washes away the natural oils. What you're doing there is grand, although you ahould remove your make-up in the evening:) Believe me, it is terrible for your skin!

I would've thought showering daily was just basic hygiene, to be honest.

I'm fairly low maintenance myself tbh (actually it looks a lot written down but compared to some girls i know it's not very much):

-Shower every day, sometimes twice...i love showers!!
    -Facial wash everyday and moisturise.
    -Brush teeth twice a day
-Exfoliate face twice a week, all over once a week
-Shave underarms twice/three times per week, legs once
-Wash hair twice a week (its fairly thick)
    -Wear nail varnish most days
-Lip Veet every 2 weeks :o
    -Wear makeup most days
-Hair cut 3-4 times a year
-Dye hair myself or get professional maybe twice
-Fake tan twice a week (im addicted but it's very natural looking)

I actually spend a lot of time grooming, didn't when I was younger hardly even wore make up.

    Shower daily

Cleanse tone and moisturise twice a day

Exfoliate a few times a week, facemask once a week

    Make up most days

Hair coloured every two months or so (pesky greys)

Hair cut 3-4 times a year

    Facial about every 3 months

    Waxing every 5 weeks

Laser on legs every two months or so (nearly finished)

Eyelash/brow tint every month (do it myself usually)

pedicure in a salon about twice a year

    Shellac manicures every so often

Fake tan put it on most weeks in summer, don't bother much in winter

I would do a lot more than some girls but then a lot less than others, my mother makes me feel guilty with all the grooming she does. I shower every day, wash my hair every second day, I will admit to not always taking off my makeup, only eye makeup really as it takes so long. It could be for that fact that I'm having a breakout on my chin at the moment :(

I shave my armpits and bikini line every time I'm in the shower (if they need to be done) but since I'm single I dont shave my legs as often as I did when I had a boyfriend. I shave them if I'm going out or something but otherwise I'm not really bothered. I wear makeup every day though, I would feel naked without it, mascara anyways!

Wish I was more bothered to do things like pedicures and manicures, used to get gel nails done there for a while recently but when it came down to it I stopped getting them because it was 25 euro I could have been spending on something else and my nails were growing out really quickly!

    Think I'm reasonably average...
    • Daily shower, sometimes twice if I have had a particularly intense day.
    • Wash and condition hair every second day, deep condition once a week.
    • Wash my face twice a day (in shower in the morning and at sink at night, usually to take off my make up), loads of moisturiser afterwards.
    • Brush teeth and use mouthwash twice a day, floss once (will brush my teeth more if I am going out or something!).
    • Epilate underarms, legs, face (upper lip), bikini area and arms once/twice a week.
    • Pluck eyebrows twice a week.
    • Make up if I am going anywhere (work etc.) but I'm usually quite lax on weekends, if I am just going food shopping or whatever.
    • Exfoliate whole body at least once a week, twice if I remember.
    • Exfoliate face twice/three times a week.
    • Apply body lotion after evening shower (if I take one, maybe twice a week) and after morning shower on days I'm not in a rush (weekends etc.).
    • Keep pedi up to date (redo every two weeks, 10 days if I am being really good) - no mani for me, not practical with work, just keep nails trimmed and neat.
    • Dye hair every 4-6 weeks (DIY).
    • I usually get a hair style overhaul once a year and try to keep on top of it myself at home with a little trimming.

It really doesn't feel like very much but when it's all written out it seems like a lot!

    Regular routine:

Shower daily (shave legs and under arms as required)
Wash, condition and style hair every second day and deep condition weekly
Wash teeth twice a day, three times if going out
Cleanse and moisturise face twice a day
Apply make-up daily, only basics unless going out
    Files nails as required

    Need to do more often:
    Floss
    Use face masks etc
    Body brush
    Exfoliate and moisturise body
    Wash make-up brushes

I consider showering and washing teeth as basic hygiene not grooming but included as other people have.

    • Shower every second day
    • Hair blow dried every second day as a result
    • Straighten hair every day
    • Full face of make up every day
    • Cleanse, moisturise etc
    • Brush teeth twice a day
    • Underarms every shower
    • Shave legs every few weeks (hair is fine and blonde and I never have them on show anyway)
    • Exfoliate face and body every week
    • Shellac on most of the time, otherwise change nail polish every few days
    • Solar oil on nails
    • Hand cream every day
    • Fake tan every week, religiously (for the last ten years)
    • Home pedicure every couple of weeks
    • Brazilian regularly (currently trying out every 4 instead of 6 weeks)
    • Hair extensions every couple of months
    • Dye eyebrows every two weeks

    I enjoy grooming, it's a hobby I suppose.
