    Hi

Can anyone suggest some true crime books about disappearances?

Have been watching Disappeared and Vanished on the discovery channel lately and would like some books that go into more details.

    Cheers :)

I done a quick search and came across TrueCrimeReader.com, which covers "true crime book reviews and news."

There's a section there on 'missing persons', so that might be a good place to start.

    No hassle.

True crime doesn't feature that much on this forum, so that might explain why nobody replied.

While we're on the subject, have you heard of In Cold Blood by Truman Capote? Apparently it's one of the 'pioneering' works of the true crime genre, albeit one written in novel form.

It's really highly regarded by the more 'serious' critics, so it might be worth considering.

I loved In Cold Blood, I would have mentioned it sooner only the OP specifically mentioned disappearances.
