I'm not sure if anyone heard about it, but "Bloc" was a music festival that was supposed to be held in London on the 6th and 7th of July.

In the middle of the night on the 6th the event was closed due to overcrowding. Everyone was kicked out of the venue with no info on what was going on. It was only the next day that they issued an official closure notice. The company has since gone into administration without giving refunds. Tickets were £108 and bought through VISA.

Heres a link to an article that will explain it much better. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-18753642

Is there any way of getting a refund? I've heard about people in various UK banks getting chargebacks under Section 75.

Has anyone any advice on how Irish customers would go about getting chargebacks? I know many people from Ireland who travelled to the event and tbh we're all clueless about getting our money back.

    Cheers.

Though your credit card company. It is possible that the contract is frustrated though so that would mean no refund :(

I'm in the process of doing that now. Heard of quite a few english customers getting refunds this way so I'm hopeful.

I'm looking into whether there is anything similar to Section 75 here myself at the moment - results in the Legal Discussions forum so I don't clog here with any mumbo-jumbo.

    FYI
