Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So I bought myself a cuppa tea today in the canteen..all good thought "hey, I'm treating myself"..picked up a pink snack...thought "hmmm..seems a bit light"
Opened it up...And there was only TWO fingers in the snack bar.

Umm...when did this happen, and why wasn't there a Referendum of some sort?

I'm reading 1984 atm - very good considering the age we live in right now

I've been told to read 'Wolf of Wall St' after that - the movie looks brilliant and the story is supposed to be ridiculous!

I heard it's supposed to be a good book. Haven't seen the flick.. didn't know it was out..

Another one is "Boomerang, Travels in the New Third World" by Michael Lewis.

An interesting view of the financial crisis.

It's coming out soon enough - I'm basing my view entirely on the trailer, cast and director!

I've been reading some non-fiction crime stuff. Now onto fiction with Jo Nesbo.

May be out picking blackberries tomorrow.

Hello ladies and chaps :) any mad plans for the weekend?
Off home to Killarney to see the mammy :)

Hopefully meet up with my buddy who I haven't seen in ages - potential to go surfing for the first time - and on Inch beach, my favorite one! I think I need to baptize myself in the Atlantic given the way I've been treating my body lately!

Oh and pints, I'll be needing pints after that week!

    How about yourself good sir?

No plans today other than to watch Cork win the hurling on TV :)

Surfing sounds pretty fun, haven't done that since I was a kid.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,385 ✭✭✭✭D'Agger

Alas, no waves so going for a walk and a coffee instead - I don't like this time of year, or winter all that much, but I will say one thing, Killarney National Park is outstanding in this weather.

Miss being able to go for a walk or a cycle around it, would certainly have me alot calmer during the week :pac:

As a Clareman, let me just say :P :pac:

Fantastic game of hurling though. I was on the edge of my seat for the last 65 mins. :)

I also have not surfed since I was a kid. I wasn't very good at it though. I could just about go in a straight line. :pac:
