Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's cold out all of a sudden!

I've found it cold for a few days now. It's fine during the day, but come six in the evening, it's quite cold. I've been putting the stove on for the last few evenings to compensate.

I've also been letting the dogs stay in the house for much longer than they should be in, but they're sound asleep on the mat and not bothering anyone. They're in for a bit of a shock when the parents get back though. But that has nothing really to do with the cold, just me spoiling them.

It's 7degrees in Dublin right now but according to weather zone it feels like 3.5 degrees and I'd believe it. I'm freezing too!!!

Morning all, biiiiig mug of coffee in front of me this morning!

Do people listen to audiobooks anymore - I was mocked before for listening to them at my age but I figured it's taking me 40mins to get into work in the morning, I may aswell listen to some Sherlock Holmes books while I'm at it. Loved it this morning anyway

I listen to agatha christie in german the odd time to improve my listening comp
it actually is improving, I have to say
I had never read her before, so I got the book in english and german and then the german audiobook
Other than that I don't as I find it orders of magnitude easier to follow something written than heard
I hate when people try to read me newspaper articles or something, it's like okay just gime the thing, I read a lot faster anyway!

It's freezing - I was in my heaviest coat this morning
    and that's pretty damn heavy
    It's pretty though :o

I'd find I'd remember stuff I've heard moreso than what I'd see - the only thing that wouldn't apply to is IT where I need to actually do it myself to remember and even then I need to do it a few times!

My memory is atrocious, I'm useless with names!

Haven't had curry chips in quite some time. Had a KCs the other night because I got home and the chicken was gone off from the fridge :( Went for what I thought would be the lightest stuff on their menu - still felt horrendous after it!

So I've been off for the last two days, and I'm off for the next two, yet the dogs choose today to go for a wander. Typical. And what will they do when they come back? They'll act like they haven't seen me in a week, get really excited, jump up and try to hug me, all so I can't stay mad at them. Sly, adorable bastards.

I really wasn't fond of QoS - maybe because Casino Royale was so good.

Love Craig as Bond though and Skyfall looks fairly class - my only problem is with trailers showing too much thesedays - the original teaser trailer for Skyfall was awesome - that's all I needed to see to be very excited about the movie!

Cheers for the heads up - will sort it out this evening hopefully :)

Wondering if I can claim back for more than one property I've stayed in i.e when I was in college, was paying high enough rent where I stayed! Would have two years to claim from there and one in my current residence!

You have to be paying tax in that year to claim it back, so I don't think it would work for when you're in college.

I'm so sleepy today, getting out of bed was painful.

Technically I was paying tax if I was working 3days a week also plus working during the summer and so on...but if now how bad that's understandable,Can you claim back tax every year on the rent relief?

I'm tired out and kinda busy this morning! Will have to ring my landlord once again and start being an pain in order to get him to get our fridge sorted - two days a carton of milk lasted us this week, that's ridiculous!
