Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In the swimming, when they display the WR split, is that an even division of the record (ie 200m WR is 4:00, so split at 50 is 1:00), the time that the person who set the record did to that point, or the fastest anyone has ever reached that point in the race?

Just a ticker really I'd say. The WR divided by 4, takes the same length to go all the lengths of the pool.

It's the split of the world record setter.

Basically he was saying that Phelp's trainer now won't have to kill himself since one of Phelp's training partners won a medal.

Disastrous line to use by the analyst.

Can't wait for this 4x 200 freestyle. Surely US will hold off France!

My moment of the games so far. Chad le Clos on the podium welling up and then his father afterwards on the BBC showing unbridled love for his boy. Brought a tear it did.

Lochte what a swim!! Delighted for Phelps, sick record at the Olympics to have. 15 golds, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes is ridiculously good.

A truly amazing achievement. Words can not describe what Michael Phelps has achieved as an athlete.
