Don't worry, you'll probably never meet most of the posters. They'll be too busy trying to win the internet. :pac:

Trinity is a great university to go to. I shall miss it when I finish in May. I've made some great friends and have had so much fun (this includes my course work).

Just adding my voice to the people saying "don't worry!" :P

I'm going into my 4th year here and I have genuinely never met a single person there with a snobby or elitist attitude towards Trinity. Honestly. I've encountered more of them on boards than anywhere else (and some of the ones who post that stuff in the forum are later proven to be trolls who never even went to TCD - not anyone in this thread, I hasten to add, but other "posh trolling" threads, you may have seen some recently).

I actually find that the "All Trinity students are posh snobs!" attitude comes from people who have never set foot on the campus to check it out for themselves. It's an idea that goes back to when only the rich could attend - but nowadays, with the "free" fees, that doesn't exist anymore.

It's a great university, a nice campus and a cool place to spend four years. Don't worry about it, you'll realise soon after you arrive that none of the stereotypes hold up! :)

Thank you all for being so reassuring, I hunted down an old friend that's going into 3rd year and he settled my nerves a lot. I'm getting excited to start there now :D
